Information boards are available at the landing site and at the Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car. Toplanding would be tolerated only as an exception, directly at the northwest launch site.

Flying site Hoher Kasten #

Short area in front of trees. Approx. 10 min descent from the cable car station. The direct path is demanding, a hiking trail is signposted.

Launch site Flugschule (W - NW) #

Quite steep, just after the saddle Left of Kamor, on the N side of the saddle. 15 minutes descent from the cable car station. Landing site is visible from the starting point.

Starkwind Launch site (W - NW) #

Steep. Follow the trail until the 2nd left turn.

Steep meadow above a ravine in the direction of the Rhine Valley. Walk 20 minutes from the cable car around the southern slope of the Kamor. There is no official landing site in the Rhine Valley (except in Vaduz).

Flying site Kronberg #

Flying site Laax #

The flying area of Flims, Laax and Ilanz is often favorable for weather. It would be excellent flying when there is a southerly wind, as long as it is felt as a constant south wind. Strong north wind can cause unpleasant turbulences.

Flying site Fanas #

Fanas is a super starting point for cross-country flights in spring, if you have thought early enough to reserve a cable car.

In Grüsch, the landing site is located at the eastern end of the village. Do not enter fields or high grass. Suitable in strong valley winds.

Flying site Chäserrugg #

Flights are possible throughout the year (See timetable Funicular and cable car). Depending on the starting point, there is still a walk of about 20 minutes. The 1/2-Tax of the public transport is valid.

The launch / landing fee is CHF 5. In case of bad weather, the fee includes a free ride downhill on the cable car.

With the Bise wind, take off to the east and find the thermals above and in front of the east face of Chäserrugg. With a W, take off from Hinterrrugg, but first check the true wind at its W edge. It could cause a lee in front of the restaurant. If the NW is stronger, one can soar along the slopes. The slopes are good to fly in late winter, early spring and autumn without much thermal turbulence, on calm days with only a light W-NW wind at altitude, when you can climb along the mountain range or thermally.
